At a birthday dinner the other night, a bunch of us laughed to discover we had all recently started blogs. One friend guffawed when I said no one knew my blog address because I needed time to practice-blog. Plus, if you build up a history of entries it looks like you've been at it forever, right?

But then, who would I fool? Anyone who knows me knows I am a slowpoke at best to adopt tech anything. And then, another friend who is starting a blog in conjunction with her new jewelry business pointed out that you can't have everything perfect instantly. I left that conversation with the goal of making public one humble blog entry a week. So with as much bravery as I can muster, here is my first public entry:

This is what was happening in my garden this week: an
avalanche of sweet peas. (They're old-fashioneds if you want
to imagine what they smell like.)

And then in my studio I did this: piecing this baby quilt. I just finished today--phew!
